We are not cutting services at all.
Indeed, we have expanded the Western Australian health system substantially in
the time that we have been in government. We have spent $7 billion on major new
health facilities and we will continue to operate a health system that is of an
international standard. As I said, there are some surplus positions, in
particular in the South Metropolitan Health Service, and there is a voluntary
severance scheme underway at the moment and there has been quite a substantial
number of expressions of interest in relation to that scheme.
