I refer to the nine over-allocated water management areas listed in answer to my question on notice No. 3208 of 23 February 2011, and for each of those nine water management areas I ask -
(1) How many water licences are current?
(2) How many water licences have a Water Conservation and Efficiency Plan (WCEP) as part of their conditions of licence?
(3) Please specify how many WCEPs are at the level of -
(a) basic;
(b) intermediate; and
(c) advanced?
(4) Can the Minister confirm that the number of each level of the WCEP is in line with the guidelines for fully allocated water management areas as listed in Table two of Page nine of
Operational Policy 1.02 – Policy on water conservation and efficiency plans
?
(5) Will the Department require a WCEP as part of every license renewal or amendment in those water management areas?
(6) If no to (5), why not?
