As a supplementary question, who first requested that the Government take equity and, secondly, did any of the other bidders ask about the Government’s taking equity in the project; and, if so, what was the Government’s response to the other bidders? The SPEAKER: I wish the member had not said the word “secondly”. He is allowed one follow-up question. Mr COURT

When the Government went to tender, it was going to provide a total of $110m plus land for this centre. What was negotiated was that none of the land would be provided on a freehold basis and that all of the facility would come back to the taxpayers. I will ask the minister responsible who suggested what arrangement was to be finalised and provide that information to the member.
