I refer to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Education and the Fire and Emergency Service in relation to fuel load assessments and hazard reduction work on schools located in the Bushfire Zone, and I ask —
(1) Will the Minister please table that Memorandum of Understanding?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) Which schools, if any, have had their fuel load assessments completed?
(4) Which schools, if any, have had hazard reduction work completed?
(5) Which schools, if any, have known outstanding hazard reduction work to be undertaken?
(6) When does the Minister anticipate that all actions detailed in the Memorandum of Understanding will be completed for —
(a) all Perth Metropolitan schools; and
(b) all schools listed on the Bushfire Zone Register?

(1) Yes. Please see [Tabled Paper No.]
(2) Not applicable.
(3) - (5) The Fire and Emergency Services Authority are currently recruiting staff to undertake fuel-load assessments and hazard reduction work as detailed in the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU). The assessments are anticipated to commence on 28 August 2012.
It should be noted that fuel-load assessments at Armadale Primary School, Baldivis Primary School, Chidlow Primary School, Darlington Primary School, Eastern Hills Senior High School, Glen Forrest Primary School, Gooseberry Hill Primary School, Harvey Senior High School, Lesmurdie Senior High School, Mount Helena Primary School, Parkerville Primary School, Pemberton District High School and Sawyers Valley Primary School and hazard reduction work at Baldivis Primary School (preliminary work only), Chidlow Primary School, Darlington Primary School, Eastern Hills Senior High School, Glen Forrest Primary School, Harvey Senior High School (perimeter surrounding school), Mount Helena Primary School, Parkerville Primary School and Sawyers Valley Primary School have been carried out over the past 12 months, prior to the MOU commencing.
(6)(a)-(b) All actions detailed in the Memorandum of Understanding will be undertaken over a three-year period, with some schools being revisited during this time.
