(1) Is the minister aware of allegations that Derek Carew-Hopkins was involved in the complaint made about the activities of Department of Environment and Conservation staff in relation to the Straits Resources Ltd proposal? (2) Will the minister undertake to find out and report to the house about Mr Carew-Hopkins’ involvement in the complaint, and whether Mr Carew-Hopkins submitted any freedom of information requests to the minister’s office or to DEC in relation to Straits Resources? As I said in answer to the question that was asked by the member yesterday, this matter has been the subject of investigation by the Public Sector Commission, which is the most appropriate thing to do. I will check with respect to the FOI. I am not aware of an FOI with respect to my office. If I can provide any further detail, I will.
