I refer to recommendation four of report 12, of the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations into the Balga Works Program, where it stated, ‘The Committee recommends that the Minister for Education and Training advise the Legislative Council as to whether he is satisfied that the Department of Education and Training has met its duty of care obligations towards those persons adversely affected by the Balga Works Program’, and ask -
(1) Are you as the Minister for Training satisfied that the Department of Education and Training has met its duty of care obligations towards those persons adversely affected by the Balga Works Program?
(2) If no to (1), why not given that as a committee member you supported this recommendation and now as the Minister you have the power to implement it?
(3) If yes to (1), have you received the investigation findings?
(4) Will you table them in this place at the next day’s sitting?
(5) If no to (4), why not?
