School visits
5. Hon Steve Martin to
the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Education:
I refer to members
of Parliament visiting schools.
(1) From 1 March 2025
to 23 February 2026, how many school visit requests were made in writing to the Minister for Education from:
(a) Labor members of Parliament;
(b) non-Labor members of Parliament;
(c) the Premier;
(d) the Leader of the Opposition, the member for
Churchlands; and
(e) the shadow Minister for Education, the member
for Carine?
(2) In relation to each of the categories in (1),
how many of those requests were:
(a) approved; and
(b) declined?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) This
information requires an extensive manual review of records in the content
manager total records and information management (TRIM) system, which requires
additional time to collate. If the honourable member places the question on
notice, the minister will endeavour to provide a response. However, the Minister
for Education is confident she has approved an overwhelming majority of
requests.
