GREAT SOUTHERN CENTRE FOR
OUTDOOR RECREATION EXCELLENCE
1137. Hon COLIN HOLT to the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to the Great Southern Centre
for Outdoor Recreation Excellence.
(1) Is there
specific direct funding in the budget for the ongoing operations of GSCORE? If
yes, please provide a breakdown over the forward estimates.
(2) If no, will
the government provide any support to GSCORE for its operations? Please provide
detail.

I thank the member for the question.
Sorry, I saw it but because I have been tied up in other matters, I have not
looked through this closely.
(1)–(2) I
understand there is no specific funding in the 2020–21 state budget for
the ongoing operations of GSCORE. I remember
attending its launch and my understanding is that the plan was for it to move
towards self-sufficiency. It has had total funding of $525 000 for it to
be established. I am happy to see whether I can find further information.
