ST JOHN OF GOD HOSPITAL BUNBURY — CORONARY
UNIT
571. Hon ADELE FARINA to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the St John of God Hospital Bunbury coronary unit.
(1) When will
the unit open to the public for the full range of services intended to be
provided at the unit?
(2) Has the agreement for the unit to treat public patients
been finalised?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) St John of
God Hospital Bunbury will advise WA Country Health Service when the services
are available. When the agreed coronary care services become available, WACHS
will purchase these services for public patients. WACHS aims to commence the
purchase of elective interventional cardiology for public patients by October
2013.
(2) No. The
draft agreement is currently with St John of God Hospital Bunbury legal
services, with formal sign-off expected in September 2013.
