Homelessness services—Children
820. Hon Simon Ehrenfeld to the Minister for Homelessness:
I refer to new
national data from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare revealing that
835 children in Western Australia sought help from specialist homelessness
services in 2023–24 without a parent or guardian.
(1) In the 2024–25 financial year, how
many children in Western Australia sought homelessness support without a parent
or legal guardian?
(2) Of these children, how many were returned to a
legal parent or guardian?
