$95,268 (35%) was allocated specifically for the development of 4 packages in rural Western Australia. $116,203 (43%) was allocated for 6 packages that will be accessible to all Western Australians. No applications were received from organisations in the North West or that specifically focused on the North West. The North West, however, received a significant proportion of Carer's funding allocated for respite services. Pilbara Home Care Inc was allocated $67,740 to develop a respite service for indigenous people in Port Hedland. (b) The funds will be spent in Kalgoorlie, Northam and Perth. One of the programs developed in Perth specifically caters for carers in rural and remote Western Australia. Six programs will be accessible to people in rural areas through specific organisation's rural programs. (c) Funding was allocated via a Grant Agreement between the Disability Services Commission and the successful organisations. The funds to develop each training program are administered by the respective organisation.
