As this question relates to vacancies over a period of months (and not on a specific day of a month) the answer to (iii) has been expressed in terms of 'unfilled positions'. Whilst this gives an indication of the number of unfilled positions (on average) for the month, it should be noted that where actual vacant positions occur on a day to day or shift to shift basis, these are filled (where possible) by casual or agency staff and/or overtime as determined by local management to ensure each hospital is appropriately staffed.
