I refer to Government Regional Officers' Housing (GROH) funded by Royalties for Regions, and ask: (a) how many GROH properties have been funded through Royalties for Regions; (b) how many GROH properties funded through Royalties for Regions are currently vacant, and where are they located; (c) what is the reason for the vacancy for each property listed in (b); (d) are any GROH properties currently being privately rented and, if so, where are the properties located; (e) have any GROH properties funded through Royalties for Regions been subsequently sold; and (f) if yes to (e), please advise on the: (i) construction date; (ii) construction cost; (iii) sale date; (iv) net sale return after selling costs; and (v) reason for sale?

The Housing Authority advises:
(a) 465.
(b) Eight properties are vacant: one property in Roebourne and seven properties in Kalgoorlie.
(c) The property in Roebourne is vacant as all current GROH client agency demand for housing in the region has been met.
The Kalgoorlie properties were purchased for the Department of Corrective Services to provide housing for the employees of the Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison. The properties are currently vacant as the construction of the prison has been delayed.
(d) Twelve properties located in Kalgoorlie are privately rented.
(e) Yes.
