My question relates to the special team formed to improve the academic performance of government school students in Western Australia. (1) In the minister’s press release dated 30 January 2004 he stated that the team is expected to be in operation by March. Is this still the case? (2) If yes, when will the team members be announced; and, if no, why the delay in the appointments? (3) In what ways can the team assist government schools to do better in achieving excellent educational outcomes? (4) Will the team be seeking help from the independent school sector, which the minister has stated achieves high academic results for its students? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH
