RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES ACT — REVIEW
435. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for Commerce:
My
question is to the Minister for Mental Health representing the Minister for
Commerce. I refer to the government's review of the Residential
Tenancies Act that was committed to during the 2017 election campaign and
commenced in 2019.
(1) Has the
review been completed and presented to the government; and, if not, when will
it be completed and presented?
(2) When will the government
respond to the review?
(3) When will the
proposed government changes to the Residential Tenancies Act be presented to
the public and to Parliament?
(4) What
consultation has occurred with industry bodies on the review since the closure
of submissions on 30 June 2020?
