TUART
BROOK DEVELOPMENT — BUNBURY
1134. Hon ADELE FARINA to the
minister representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to the proposed Tuart Brook development in Bunbury.
(1) Will the minister table the feasibility study?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) When was the feasibility study completed?
(4) When was the decision made not to proceed with the
proposed development?
(5) When was the decision not to proceed communicated to the
City of Bunbury?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) No; however, I am happy for the Department of Housing to
brief the member.
(2) By
exposing the department's methodology for feasibility assessment, it
could undermine its ability to conduct objective due diligence and
value-for-money assessment of future proposals presented by industry partners.
(3) The feasibility study was completed in late October 2013.
(4) The decision not to proceed with the proposed development
was made on 13 December 2013.
(5) The decision not to proceed was communicated to the City
of Bunbury on 16 December 2013.
