MINISTER FOR EDUCATION
AND TRAINING — PERFORMANCE
614. Mrs L.M. HARVEY to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
Given that the Premier is knowingly
turning a blind eye to the poor performance of the education minister and
refusing to replace her with someone competent, will he now accept full
responsibility for all future bungles and backflips in the education portfolio?

How nasty! What a nasty thing to
say. There should be some standards in here, Mr Speaker.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for
Darling Range, I call you to order for the second time.
Mr M. McGOWAN : The member for
Scarborough comes in here and is just so rude and nasty! What has Hon Sue Ellery
ever done to her, apart from take away her job?
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members!
Mr M. McGOWAN : Members
opposite just cannot get over the fact that the people of Western Australia
threw them out of office in a record landslide.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Darling
Range, I do not know what happens in the upper house, but you do not scream,
especially when you have been warned. This is the third time.
Mr M. McGOWAN : They threw
them out of office in a record landslide. You lost your job and you did not
even have the courage to become opposition leader!
