Further to question without notice No. 988 of December 20 2001 -
(1) Can the Premier confirm that there was no investigation of Mr Niel Winzer’s public interest claim by the Department of Transport because the Executive Director of Transport Corporate Services believed that doing so would have been going backwards not forwards and would only heighten angst and concern amongst the staff?
(2) Why did Transport not provide a reply to Mr Winzer regarding -
(a) the conflicting information given to employees by Transport relating to organisational change; and
(b) why Mr Winzer was subject to disadvantages as a result of him asking questions on this issue?
