parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
I refer the minister to the staff of Swan District Hospital.
(1) How many staff are currently employed at Swan District
Hospital?
(2) Of those
staff, how many applied for a position at the new Midland Public Hospital; and
how many were successful with their application?

(1) As at 12 November
2015, 1 324 staff—headcount—are employed at Swan District
Hospital. It should be noted that of that number, 120 staff relate to services
that will continue to be under the auspices of the state, such as community
mental health, the aged care assessment team and the Hospital in The Home
program.
(2) The state
is not able to advise how many Swan District Hospital staff applied for a
position at the new St John of God Midland Public Hospital as it is a private
employer. This figure is also difficult for St John of God Midland —
Hon Ken Travers : I can tell you, I was out there with my
mother a few weeks ago and they were all telling me what's going on.

facts or does he just want to make the answer up himself?
