769. Hon KATE DOUST to the Attorney General
representing the Minister for Police:
I ask this question on behalf of Hon Adele Farina, who is absent from the
chamber on urgent parliamentary business.
I refer to the explosive substance found under a jetty in
Leschenault Estuary near Australind yesterday. What was the explosive substance
found, and has this been verified by expert testing or analysis?

I answer this question on behalf of the Attorney General. I
thank the honourable member for some notice of this question.
An investigation remains ongoing to determine the origin and
type of chemical compound subject of this matter. The material is consistent
with TATP—triacetone triperoxide.
