The Government's Getting it Right Literacy and Numeracy Strategy is a $26 million commitment over four years.
(a) In the 2001-2002 financial year, approximately $350 000 (of a total allocation of $1.453 million) was spent to enable participation by schools in the Pilbara and Kimberley. Over its four-year duration, it is anticipated that expenditure from this program in the Pilbara and Kimberley education districts will total approximately $3.7 million.
