Furthermore in 2003, the Office of the Regional Coordinator was established resulting in the central coordination of several units that had previously reported to the Central Metropolitan District including the Perth Watch House, Regional Operations Group, Police Transit Unit and the Regional Investigation Unit. The Office of the Regional Coordinator has an actual strength of 142 FTEs as at 31 May 2004.
