SWAN
DISTRICT HOSPITAL — STAFFING
869. Mr R.H. COOK to the
Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. Last week the Department of
Health said that under the governmentXXX ###XXXs
Workforce Reform Act, the department would be looking to make staff redundant.
That is not voluntary redundancy. Will the minister guarantee that there will
be no forced redundancy of staff at Swan District Hospital?

The staff who are working at that hospital, as I have said,
will be offered redundancy packages if that is the direction in which we decide
to head, or, alternatively, they will be found jobs elsewhere within the
system. I cannot be any clearer than that.
