I have a supplementary question. In the question I just asked I quoted from a ministerial statement, in which the Premier said - I do not accept that the former Minister for Health had intended to threaten or harass her. Did the former Minister for Health threaten or intimidate her? Dr G.I. GALLOP
AnswerView source ↗
I have not only answered that question in the Parliament yesterday - Mr C.J. Barnett: No, you haven’t. Dr G.I. GALLOP: Yes, I have. I have written to the person who raised that matter. I made three points yesterday, and I will repeat them: first, the meeting was held in October 2002 and the letter was written in May 2003; secondly, at no time did the trade union which represents Department of Health employees and meets with the Government on many occasions to discuss matters of interest and concern to the Government of Western Australia raise any concerns about that meeting; and, thirdly, I made it clear that there was a heated discussion at that meeting because allegations were being made about individuals, and the former Minister for Health made it very clear that when - Mr C.J. Barnett: Are you saying that the whistleblower is not telling the truth? Dr G.I. GALLOP: I am not saying that at all. What is that play we saw last year about the meeting between Werner Heisenberg and Niels Bohr. Ms S.M. McHale: Copenhagen . Dr G.I. GALLOP: I suggest that if the Leader of the Opposition wants to be educated on meetings and the interpretations that are placed on meetings, he should see the play Copenhagen .
