(1) Yes. (2) The guidelines require that each proposed bus stop position is reviewed to ensure: - that a bus stopping at the position will not breach any traffic codes; - that where a position may affect traffic flows adjacent to traffic signals the proposed location is submitted to Main Roads WA for approval; - that where a bus stopping will cause an interruption to traffic flows of any consequence the approval of the appropriate road authority (local government or MRWA) is obtained; - that the position will cause the least negative impact on vehicles wishing to access or leave adjacent properties whilst fulfilling the purpose for the stop; - that the provision of stop infrastructure (such as shelters or timetable stands) takes due consideration of safety issues such as "line of sight" for road traffic signage or for vehicles entering the road from adjacent properties or upon the safety of other users of the road reserve (such as pedestrians or cyclists); - that the service provider is satisfied with the safety of the position. (3) Not applicable.
