1257. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Housing:
I refer to evictions from Housing
Authority properties.
(1) How many
tenants have been evicted in the Goldfields–Esperance region and in
which communities did the evictions occur for —
(a) 2015–16; and
(b) each month since 1 July 2016?
(2) How many
people are currently on the waiting list for houses in Leonora and what size
houses are they waiting for?
(3) How many
Housing Authority properties are currently vacant in Leonora and how many
bedrooms does each house have?

goldfields region in 2015–16, Boulder had 11 tenancies evicted,
Coolgardie had one and Kalgoorlie had 13.
(b) In the goldfields region for the months following 1
July 2016, Boulder had one tenancy evicted in July 2016, nil were evicted in
August 2016, one was evicted in September 2016 and one was evicted in October 2016;
Coolgardie had nil evicted in July through to October 2016; and Kalgoorlie had
two evicted in July 2016, and nil were evicted in August through to October
2016.
(2) There are
eight people on the waiting list for single, one-bedroom properties. One person
is on the waiting list for a seniors', one-bedroom property, and one
person is on the priority application waiting list for a single, one-bedroom
property.
(3) One
two-bedroom family property, and three three-bedroom family properties are
vacant and undergoing maintenance.
