Hon Steve Martin questions the Minister for Transport regarding the breakdown of economic activity generated by Alstom for the C-series railcar project, specifically seeking clarification on how the remaining 94.56% of economic activity is accounted for beyond the car body components. I refer to the Minister's answer to question on notice 744, explaining the definition of "economic activity" used in the Alstom contract, and the Minister's earlier answer in Legislative Council Estimates pre-hearing questions that railcar body components represent approximately 5.44% of the economic activity created by Alstom for the C-series project under the contract, and I ask: (a) acknowledging the 5.44% associated with "the car body shells and railcar body components", how is the other 94.56% accounted for in "economic activity" terms along the criteria provided by the Minister in question on notice 744, that being "the total value created by Alstom for the project across the entire new railcar fleet", including: (i) goods (supplied within Western Australia (WA)); (ii) goods (supplied outside WA); (iii) materials (supplied within WA); (iv) materials (supplied outside WA); (v) labour (supplied within WA); (vi) labour (supplied outside WA); (vii) services (supplied within WA); and (viii) services (supplied outside WA)?
