(1) The number of conveyance allowance claims forms that have been received, processed and paid for each term of the 2008 school year are as follows:
Term 1  1,312
Term 2 1,280
Term 3 1,212
Term 4 1,084
Total 4,888
Transperth will pay claims that are up to 12 months in arrears. Therefore it is still possible further claims may be received and paid from Term 2, 2008 onwards.
(2) The total amount to date of claims paid for the 2008 school year is $2.162M.
(3) The lowest claim paid in 2008 was $4.61. This claim was paid for four days of two journeys per day of 2.9kms.
(4) The highest claim paid in 2008 was $2,875.54. This claim is for 47 days of four journeys per day of 76.9kms.
(5) The total cost of processing conveyance allowance for the 2008 year is equivalent to one FTE at Level 2 (approx $60,000). This equates to an administrative cost of approximately 2.77%.
