Will the minister inform the house of the reasons the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection has refused to issue an injunction to prevent the reissue of land titles at the Marchmont Estate near Gingin until the dispute between the developer and the Marchmont buyers group has been settled? The Department of Consumer and Employment Protection advises that the investigation conducted by the department into the Marchmont Estate matter has not yet revealed evidence to enable the Commissioner for Consumer Affairs to take injunctive action in this matter. The Department of Consumer and Employment Protection’s investigation is still ongoing and is expected to be concluded in the next few weeks.
