The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(1) (a) Yes, the State s biggest ever recovery team has been boosted by an additional 20 recovery officers as announced on 3 May 2023. This means the number of recovery officers stationed in flood-impacted communities in the Kimberley is now a record 52 recovery officers. (2) $9.24 million. (3) 50% Commonwealth and 50% State. (4) Early assessments indicate the program will provide $30 million in financial assistance to flood-impacted communities over two years. (5) Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (Category D).
