I thank the member for notice of the
question.
(1)–(4) The election commitment was for the development of
tourism packages associated with delivering a revitalised Australind rail service. This government
is delivering on that commitment. Last month the Minister for Transport
announced $1.28 million of upgrades at the North Dandalup and Cookernup
stations, and that Alstom had been selected as the preferred proponent to
deliver six new Australind railcars. The development of tourism packages
will be considered once the revitalisation of the Australind rail
service is complete.
