(2) How many beds will be provided for adolescents with mental health issues?

(1) 30 beds
(2) There are no dedicated beds for adolescents with mental health issues at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Until 2015, adolescents will be able to access 12 beds at the Bentley Adolescent Unit (for people aged 12 - 18) and 8 beds at Princess Margaret Hospital (for those aged 16 years and under).
In 2015, adolescents (aged up to 16 years old) will be able to access 20 beds at the new children's hospital, which will incorporate the 8 beds from Princess Margaret Hospital and 6 of the beds from the Bentley Adolescent Unit.
