546. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to reports that a 65-year-old
serial child sex offender—MGD—has been released into the
community on a supervision order that directs compliance with 49 conditions.
(1) What will be
the full financial cost, on a yearly basis, to the Western Australian taxpayer
of the Western Australia Police Force's management and supervision of
MGD in the community in a manner that ensures his compliance with all
conditions of release?
(2) What would be the full financial cost, on a yearly
basis, of MGD's continued detention in a correctional facility?
