The following information represents the allocation of funding for the Primary Extension and Academic Challenge (PEAC) programs in the Goldfields, Joondalup and the Pilbara districts for years 2000 to 2002. Funding for PEAC programs is distributed to districts in accordance with an allocative mechanism, based on the number of students in Years 5, 6, and 7 in the district and its proportion to the whole state.

The information previously provided in response to Question 1239 was inclusive of all funding sources including course material costs and contributions from parents. Other than the Department’s allocative mechanism, any yearly variation is dependent on income from external sources.
