Department of the Premier and Cabinet advises:
(1-2) The Information Technology Branch of the Department of the Premier and
Cabinet arranged for a seminar to be held on 29 November 2007 for electorate
officers to be made aware of the rollout of the new Microsoft Office 2007
environment to all Parliamentary Electorate Offices.
An attending electorate officer who is also a workplace delegate for the Civil Service Association/Community and Public Sector Union, sought and was granted permission to address the attendees at the end of the day on the basis that it did not detract or take time away from the principal purpose of the day.
