ELECTORAL DATABASE SYSTEMS - MAGENTA LINAS
I refer the Premier to the government’s contract for electoral roll management services provided by Magenta Linas to Labor Party members of this Parliament, and to the recent public disclosure of participation by Magenta Linas in the Australian Council of Trade Unions’ federal election campaign operations. (1) Can the Premier give an assurance that the Western Australian Electoral Commission’s electoral roll data is not being used to assist the ACTU’s federal election campaign in support of the Labor Party? (2) Will the Premier undertake to seek written clarification from Magenta Linas as to the source of its data to be used in the ACTU campaign and table its response; and, if not, why not? Hon JON FORD
