(a) The section 18 notice for the Rottnest Island Aboriginal burial ground contains information regarding third parties which may be subject to Freedom of Information and/or Privacy legislation. As such, it would, as a matter of procedural fairness to those third parties, be appropriate for such a request to be made through the Freedom of Information process.
I am further advised by the Rottnest Island Authority that no separate report, in addition to the section 18 Notice, was provided by Dr Riordan.
Please note that the section 18 notice was granted by the then Minister for Indigenous Affairs on 16 March 2007.
(2) No
(a) Reports and recommendations of the Aboriginal Cultural Materials Committee are the responsibility of the Minister for Indigenous Affairs.
(3) Yes. A copy of the Conditions of Consent letter dated 16 March 2007, from the then Minister for Indigenous Affairs, is attached [see tabled paper no.].
