The Minister confirms that no referral to the Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) or other oversight bodies was made regarding the One Movement funding issue at Tourism WA, following the Public Sector Commission's investigation, as no misconduct was found. The Minister suggests that anyone with reasonable grounds for concern can refer the matter to the CCC themselves.

In relation to the briefing note which the Minister was provided by the Public Sector Commissioner on 11 January 2010, and the report the Minister received from him on 18 January 2010 regarding the conflict of interest at Tourism Western Australia with the One Movement funding, has the Minister or Chief Executive Officers of departments and agencies within the Minister’s portfolio referred the report or any of its contents to the Corruption and Crime Commission or any other oversight bodies?

Beyond the Public Sector Commission's investigation, no further external review of the matter will be sought in the absence of any new evidence or information coming to light. Furthermore, the Public Service Commission made no finding of misconduct, potentially criminal or corrupt behaviour which would have merited a referral to the Corruption and Crime Commission or any other oversight body.
However, if the Member for Perth, or for that matter, any other member of the public, has reasonable grounds that this matter concerns or may concern misconduct, criminality or corruption, they may, in their own right, refer this matter to the Corruption and Crime Commission.
