I refer to presentations to all metropolitan hospitals emergency departments, and ask, for each month since July 2017: (a) How many patients presented to emergency departments due to a mental illness: (i) Of these, how many patients were suffering from, or diagnosed with, a personality disorder; and (b) Of the patients in (a), how many were admitted to the hospital’s mental health unit, or transferred to the closest mental health unit, after their presentation to the emergency department: (i) Of these, how many patients were suffering from a personality disorder; and (ii) What was the average length of stay in the mental health unit for patients suffering from a personality disorder?
