RESPONSIBLE PARENTING AGREEMENTS AND ORDERS — APPLICATIONS
I note the ministerial statement made earlier today by the minister on responsible parenting agreements and orders, which in part reads — … nearly 30 per cent of referrals — That is, parents — who are not engaging with the services offered … Have any applications been made for a responsible parenting order? Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY

I thank the member for her question. No, there have not, because we would rather have parents involved voluntarily. In that way, parents are more engaging with the department, rather than the department coming in over the top and forcing them. However, if we have to do that, we will.
