Minister for Planning:
I refer to the answer to question
without notice 1060 regarding urban tree canopy cover.
(1) What is the canopy cover of
Perth, excluding the Peel region?
(2) Did the
answer provided to (1) in question without notice 1060 use data from 2020, or
is it more recent?
(3) Noting the
dashboard public data is now over four years old, does the government have more
recent data on urban canopy?
(4) Has urban canopy cover in Perth
increased or decreased in the last four years?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Planning.
(1) The canopy cover of Perth is
21.2 per cent.
(2) It used data from 2020.
(3)–(4) Landgate
has contracted a party to procure the data and the dashboard will be updated
when the process is concluded.
