I refer the Minister to the Department for Communities’ Office, for Youth Development Officer positions, and I ask -
(1) Can the Minister confirm that the position of Senior Development Officer, based in Bunbury, has been discontinued due to budget restraints?
(2) Is this the only development officer position to be de-funded in recent weeks?

(1-2) The department for Communities' Office for Youth created a fixed term temporary position of Senior Development Officer, South West in 2006/07 from project savings. These savings were used to continue the temporary position until 31 March 2008 when it ceased. This position was not part of the FTE establishment for the Department for Communities.
No permanent development officer positions in the Department for Communities' Office for Youth have been defunded.
