The Western Australian Police Force advise the following:
(a) From 16 July 2018, the Western Australia Police Force completed its expansion to eight Metropolitan Policing Districts. The new Districts are as Fremantle, Mandurah, Joondalup, Mirrabooka, Midland, Perth, Armadale and Cannington. One Crime Engagement Sergeant services the Joondalup District and is located at Joondalup Police Station.
(b) In 2013, three Crime Prevention and Diversity Officers serviced the North West Metropolian District and were located at Joondalup Police Station. In 2014, four Crime Prevention and Diversity Officers serviced the North West Metropolitan District and were located at Joondalup Police Station. The North West Metroplitan and West Metropolitan Districts merged into the North West Metropolitan District at the end of 2016 and the positions were renamed Community Engagement Officers. From 2015 to 2017, three Community Engagement Officers serviced the North West Metropolitan District and none were located at Hillarys, Joondalup or Warwick police stations.
