(1) Who are, or were, the current Subregional Strategists for NRM for the Pilbara, Kimberley, Goldfields-Nullarbor and Gascoyne-Murchison?
(2) How long has each of the Subregional Strategists been employed?
(3) When do, or did, their contracts expire?
(4) Has any of the Subregional Strategists left or been dismissed?
(5) If so, for what reason?

(1) In 2003 /04, Rangelands NRM Co-ordinating Group sub-regional Strategists were engaged via secondment arrangements with the Department of Agriculture [1] and the Centre for Management of Arid Environments (CMAE / Curtin University) [3]. The team was initially led by a manager, seconded from the Department of Conservation and Land Management. Secondments to sub-regional Strategist roles were [with time of secondment] - Luke Morgan (Gascoyne-Murchison) - September 2003; Grant Whiteman (Goldfields-Nullarbor) - March 2004, Gill Holmes (Kimberley) - May 2004; Christine Rowland (Pilbara) - July 2004. (2) Each of the initial secondment arrangements with the employing organisations was for 12 months from the time of engagement. Based on performance, progress with the sub-regional components of the Strategy document and budget availability, an option for extension of each of the secondments was considered prior to the expiry of each arrangement. (3) Luke Morgan has an employment contract with the Department of Agriculture until December 2005. The initial secondment arrangement with the Department was extended by the Rangelands NRM Co-ordinating Group until June 2005 and then until end of October 2005 Grant Whiteman had an employment contract with Curtin University / CMAE until March 2005. An offer to extend the secondment arrangement between the Rangelands NRM Group and Curtin University / CMAE to June 2005 was made in March 2005. Mr Whiteman left the employment of Curtin University / CMAE in March 2005 to take up another employment opportunity. Gill Holmes had an employment contract with Curtin University / CMAE until May 2005. An offer to extend the secondment arrangement between the Rangelands NRM Group and Curtin University / CMAE to June 2005 was made in March 2005.
