524. Hon Phil Twiss to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
Given the
significant community concerns raised by residents of East Perth, Claisebrook
and surrounding areas, as well as the Town of Victoria Park council, regarding
the proposed $217.5 million motorsport street circuit at Burswood Park, can the
minister provide information on the following.
(1) What specific consultation processes were
undertaken with local residents and the Town of Victoria Park prior to the
announcement of the Burswood Park street circuit proposal in 2024?
(2) Will the government commit to releasing a
comprehensive report detailing the scope, methods and outcomes of all
residential consultations conducted to date?
