(3)The current authorised strength in terms of police numbers within the North West Metropolitan District is 259 FTE positions. (4) The decrease in staffing levels within the North West Metropolitan District is due to two reasons: (1) the realignment of police district boundaries with local government boundaries under the Western Australia Police Service Boundary Review which saw the suburbs of Hamersley, Watermans and North Beach being allocated to the West Metropolitan Police District and the suburb of Ballajura which was transferred to the East Metropolitan Police District. and (2) the reallocation of police personnel under the Police Service’s Regional and District Allocation of Resources Program (RADAR) model.
