(1-2) Albany Regional Prison has emergency procedures in place for response to emergency situations and the safety of the public is a key consideration within those procedures. For security reasons, these procedures cannot be discussed. It should, however, be noted that the evacuation of the prison would only be considered as a last resort. While Princess Avenue is the main access road to the prison, there is an alternative route, via a gravel road at the rear of the prison, to the Robinson Estate.
