The Cook government has introduced a number of measures to boost affordable
housing and land supply, including nation-leading planning reforms, land tax
concessions and density bonus incentives, reducing stamp duty for first home
owners, and short stay accommodation reform that incentivises owners to return
properties to the long-term rental market.Our government is also investing a record $5.1 billion
in housing and homelessness initiatives, with nearly3,000 social housing
dwellings delivered since 2021, with more than 1,000 under contract.
