GEOFFREY WEDGWOOD — GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS
184. Hon
AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Leader of the House representing the
Premier:
I refer to the April 2013
renegotiation of the contract with Mr Geoffrey Wedgwood and Luna Ventures.
(1) Has Mr Wedgwood declared any
ownership of shares in mining, petroleum or resource companies?
(2) If yes to
(1), do any held shares relate to projects or companies Mr Wedgwood is dealing
with, or providing advice on, as part of the new contract or previous
contracts?
(3) If yes to (2), which specific shares
did Mr Wedgwood declare?
(4) Has Mr Wedgwood
declared any other paid employment or contractual arrangements; and, if so, for
which other companies or organisations does he receive such payment?
(5) Should Mr Wedgwood
and Luna Ventures be registered on the register of lobbyists; and, if not, why
not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1) Mr Wedgwood
has advised that he does not hold any mining, petroleum or resource company
shares, either directly or indirectly.
(2)–(3) Not
applicable.
(4) Mr Wedgwood
has advised he does not have paid employment, consulting or contractual
arrangements in place with any company or organisation other than with the
Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
(5) No. Mr Wedgwood
is engaged by the department to provide advisory services to the Premier on
strategic projects. He is not engaged to represent the interests of a third
party to government, which would require him to be registered as a lobbyist.
