FOSTER CARE —
ABUSE ALLEGATIONS
820. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the answer to my question
without notice 795, asked on 13 September 2018, in which the house was told
that it was not possible within the time required to advise how many reporting
extensions had been agreed to by the district director overseeing the review
into a male foster carer in Newman who has been served with a restraining
order.
(1) Was the district director on
leave on 12 and 13 September 2018?
(2) If yes to (1), was anyone acting
in that position on those days?
(3) If no to (1),
did anyone in the minister's office attempt to call the district
director on those days to get an answer to the question?
(4) Does the
minister maintain that it was not possible to inform the house how many
extensions have been agreed to and the dates of those extensions?
(5) Will the
minister undertake to provide this information to the Legislative Council
forthwith without any further delay?
